ABSTRACT:   The study was carried out to quantify the body mass index (BMI) among the medical students in University of Medicine (Mandalay). Second-year M.B., B.S students (n=6 1 0) participated in this study. Height was measured to the nearest 0.1 cm using standard calibrated scale against a wall. Weight was measured to the nearest 0.5 kg using bathroom scale weighing machine. BMI was calculated as weight (kg)/height (rrr') and categorized according to EMI criteria by WHO 2007.
